As a person with heart disease I took a risk following the advice of the author. Since I was in poor health anyway I decided to give it a go. At the time I weighed 115kg with my total cholesterol at 5.2 with my LDL at 2.8 and my waist at 128.5cm.
I started to lose weight from the start and in my first month I lost 4kg. After 2 months I decided to recheck my cholesterol levels and I was amazed by the results. My total cholesterol was at 3.2 with my LDL at 1.4. I also lost a total of 8kg.
I am now totally sold on the idea on how we as humans are supposed to eat. What a wonderful discovery this book was, one that for certain changed my eating habits for good and ensuring me better health.
Now 3 months later I lost a total of 12kg and my waist is now at 118.5cm (Posted on 3/26/2016)
I would highly recommend this book. It is easy reading, which means you can start making healthy and educated choices immediately. The book gives you ideas and recipes.
After being on the program for less than a month, I started to feel less exhausted and my energy levels increased. As I felt more energetic, I exercised more which increased my fitness. My stomach became less bloated.
After being on the program for two months, I no longer missed carbs or sugar.
I love my new strong body. I feel and look fantastic. I am motivated in all aspects of my life.

Thanks for this book I found it very easy to read with not too much detail.
the chapters are concise and to the point without unnecessary information. I also found the book to be will referenced with additional supporting research at the back.
In terms of the weight loss programme and lifestyle change itself all I can say is WELL DONE!!. I have had amazing results since reading and implementing this lifestyle and dietary change in terms of both weight loss and general health.
As mentioned above not only have I lost weight since following a carb free lifestyle but I have also had the benefit of improved health. Before I started the diet I had high cholesterol for a 39 year old male, I was also borderline pre-diabetic with extremely excessive fasting blood sugar levels. Since cutting out sugars and carbs my fasting blood sugar has more than halved and my cholesterol has come down to acceptable ranges.
If you are willing to shift your thinking and undo everything we have been "fed" over the years about cutting fats out of our diet in order to loose weight and having to eat certain amounts of carbohydrates in our diet, and would like to loose weight then this book is for you.
